Today’s NaPoWriMo prompt is: Write a variation of an acrostic poem.
One of my favorite poems is “How It Adds Up” by Tony Hoagland. Pulled a line from that poem for this prompt!
The keys click clack as I try to impress what I feel, like
footprints leaving a path, for
you to follow, if you
are so inclined, I am
leaving a line to this heart of mine.

Beautifully written!

I love Tony Hoagland, but I hadn’t read ‘How It Adds Up’, so I looked it up just now.
I adore your piece. It flows beautifully out of the line you chose from Hoagland.
“The keys click clack” (like loud footsteps)….
The entire poem is clever. Thanks.
